More GOOD News! Can
today get any better? Anyway, we just received word from Ande Fishing Lines that we have qualified their Pro-Staff. Considering we have been looking to fill the void for monofilament and fluorocarbon
lines in excess of 30lb test this opportunity was a good one for Team Yankee Troller and Crazy Yankee Sportfishing. Their
50lb fluorocarbon is one line we will have a good amount of on-board. We will use this when we tie up are harnesses used with
our A-TOM-MIK trolling flies. We may even need to use a 30+lb test line if those same Kings (Chinook Salmon) from Sodus show up this year.
Boy were they fiesty. Check out thier
website and see the wide array of products from Ande!

!*!*!*!*! New Daiwa Gear !*!*!*!*! Well, it's official! For the
2010 season our tournament team and your charter party will be using the BEST reel available to Great Lakes Fisherman. The
Daiwa Saltist Levelwind Line-counter reels can be compared to the Lamborghini of the auto industry. They are very well built, and have the added
extra convenience of SPEED! We ran a few of these reels last season on our 10 color cores. Lead core fishing became fun for
the first time ever! I'm just joking! It is always FUN, but these reels made the excitement of the battle so much more enjoyable. With a gear
ratio of 6.4;1 (the best of any Great Lakes Levelwind fishing reel) it was a breeze to reel in and change lures. New
for 2010 came the line-counter versions, the ones we had been waiting for, and we jumped right on the bandwagon when we got
the chance. We will feature the new line-counter models in the 30 size on all our downrigger and wire diver combos. The drags
on these reels have been tested thoroughly on the saltwater market, so Mr. Salmon shouldn't have any issues with these drags.
We will also be featuring the 50 size on our 300' copper
combos in 2010. Saltist®

Daiwa also re-designed the Daiwa Heartland rods for 2010. These rods have been staples on the Great Lakes for trolling because of their great value and their dependability.
There is no need to spend $50 or more on a rod to fish for Salmon on the Great Lakes. The rugged E-Glass blanks are what have
made these rods so nice for wire dipsey diver fishing. Fiberglass blanks allow a little more of a delayed action and a softer
action to help prevent lost fish.

Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association
(LOTSA) Yes, it's that time of year again. LOTSA is a GREAT organization that
supports, and helps out, our fishery on Lake Ontario. This event/show suits so many purposes, and is run unbelievably. Here
are some of the purposes: - Seminars to teach anglers how to improve their catches and new methods
to target Salmon and trout
- Raise money for Pen
Rearing
- One stop shop for some of the new 2010
colors and products
- Pick up used fishing equipment
They typically start the weekend off with a BIG name charterboat captain, and a
full day seminar. Last year it was Dan Keating and Dave Mull that put on a full day seminar. This year the Best Chance 2 team
from Michigan is putting on the show. On Sunday an EXPO of sorts takes place. There are short 1 hour seminars throughout the
day, but the real deal is the room filled with charters, manufacturers, tournament organizations, and county tourism booths.
For a more in depth look at the expo check out this link: LOTSA Expo FEBRUARY 28, 2010 CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION 4TH BUILDING 4487 Lake Ave. , Lockport, NY (Route 78, two
miles North of Lockport) 9:30
AM - 3:00 PM Seminars
at 11:00, 12:30 AND 1:00 Last year we had a booth, and we are going to continue
to have a booth at this show to show off new products from our sponsors, and to promote our charter business/fishing reports.
If you frequent this site please stop by and say hi! I would love to meet you.

Disney World!
Well, I just got back from a nice break from reality. I spent five days in Disney
with my girlfriend enjoying the sun, which hasn't been too plentiful in the NE, and the culture of Disney. The weather was
nice and hung around the 60's for most of the trip. Our favorite park was definitely Animal Kingdom. The safari was so cool
I can't explain it. The rides there were very fun, and to see all those animals was amazing. We got some great pictures of
Giraffes, Rhinos, Flamingos, Crocodiles, and the list goes on and on. The way Disney does rides is different than any other
theme park. You have to experience it! I am going on record saying that the Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Roller Coaster
are the two best rides in the park.
This was a cool shot
of Mickey at our pool! Wish I tooka dip one of the days, but we were constantly on the go. From 8am till 8 or 9 at night.
FOOD, FOOD, FOOD and WALK, WALK, WALK seems like all we did!
To top off the trip I
was able to watch the Space shuttle Discovery blast off into space on Monday morning at 4;14am. That was the COOLEST thing
of the trip. From what I understand there are only four more missions after this one from NASA. The bad part of the trip is
that I watched the Super-bowl from my hotel room on a 20" TV. Oh well, the rest of the trip made up for it! If you know me at all you can only imagine how bad I am
foaming at the mouth to get back out and hook a fish! I will be fishing the mighty Niagara River this weekend in a Steelhead
tourney put on by the Niagara River fishing association. It should be a good time! That will take place on Saturday. Sunday
is up in the air right now, but I need to make up for the lack of fishing done this past weekend.
